UNESCAP (International Membership)
The Asia-Pacific Region’s most inclusive intergovernmental platform under the UN is the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). The UNESCAP secretariat upholds comprehensive, tough and practical advancement in the locale by producing activity arranged information, and by giving specialized help and limit building administrations on the side of public improvement goals, territorial arrangements and the execution of the 2030 Plan for Reasonable Turn of events. The strategic vision and aspirations of all the member countries of the United Nations for sustainable development are embodied in the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Given the alarming rate of climate change, the SDGs must be implemented more quickly in the global south. More specifically, countries in the South Asian region comprising of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, are already facing the impacts of climate change and therefore, require prompt progress on the SDGs.. For this purpose, the South Asia Network on the Sustainable Development Goals (SANS) has been established by UNESCAP to help government agencies, think tanks, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders in South Asia to build back better by sharing best practices for achieving the SDGs.
Under the network of SANS, UNESCAP has collaborated with government agencies, think tanks and civil society organizations from each country to work as members for implementing SDGs in their respective countries. Capacity Analytics is a proud member organization of this collaboration under SANS. We are working with SANS in terms of policy-making and developing strategies to implement SDGs in Pakistan given the alarming increase in the impacts of climate change on the socioeconomically vulnerable groups and communities.
WORDS (Partner for Community Engagement)
Reformist’s Social Welfare and Development Organization (WORDS) is a national NGO, which is working in Sindh, Baluchistan and AJK since 2008, supporting socio-economically underprivileged areas and natural disaster affected population.
Currently the NGO is working on peace building, economic development, TVET, education, food security, and livelihoods across Sindh, Baluchistan and AJK. WORDS has embarked upon a journey to reduce poverty and its incidence in Pakistan. It has worked with various national and international organizations to alleviate poverty and its socioeconomic impacts. The organization has recently conducted trainings under its Skill Development Program for the project ‘Increased Employment Opportunities for Vulnerable and Disadvantaged Community Groups in Selected Districts of Sindh’, which includes essentially the capacity building of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in three most vulnerable districts of Sindh to mobilize them for playing an impactful role in their respective local economies. The trainings are specifically directed towards the vulnerable households with reference to their local economy and incorporate the technical skills required by the local employers.
WORDS has operated its projects in different districts of Sindh, Baluchistan and AJK, which includeKashmore, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Khairpur, kotli, Mirpur, Nasirabad, Sibi.
Capacity Analytics is working with WORDS as a community engagement partner. WORDS has acquired the services of Capacity Analytics, from time to time, to evaluate their community engagement projects. Capacity Analytics do detailed assessments and evaluation of different projects and trainings, which are proposed by WORDS in different districts of Sindh, Baluchistan and AJK. The projects are being evaluated by the evaluation experts of Capacity Analytics in order to make a baseline for WORDS to design their future projects.

GCV and Capacity Analytics worked in collaboration as IT and tech partner for the capacity building of the youth in Information Communication Technology related to the Youth Skills Development Project. The project includes the training, education and awareness of the youth about the uses of ICT in research and development, essentially the data entering, cleaning, and validating with the use of the latest software for its usage in data, research and evaluation. Furthermore, Capacity Analytics carried out a detailed evaluation of the services it has provided by reporting the experiences of the young men and women during and after the trainings, which benefited GCV in correcting its course of journey in providing the best ICT solutions related to data management.
