Making Sense of Data with Analytics

Capacity Analytics, in collaboration with School of Economics Quaid-i-Azam University and Regionomics Inc has started the Workshop Series on Data Sciences and Visualization.

The first virtual workshop is scheduled on 29th June, 2021, from 3pm to 6pm (PST).  

Title: Making Sense of Data with Analytics

Instructor: Dr. Murtaza Haider, Ryerson University, Canada

Workshop Description:

Learn the world’s most powerful data science tool, the R programming language, with Jamovi, the most user-friendly R user interface. The workshop will be taught by Professor Murtaza Haider from Ryerson University in Toronto. Dr. Haider is the author of the Getting Started with Data Science whose online courses have been attended by millions of learners. The workshop is co-sponsored by Canada-based consulting firm Regionomics Inc.

Using human development survey data for Pakistan, the hands-on workshop will introduce participants to importing data, conducting descriptive analysis, visualizing data, conducting statistical tests, and estimating a regression model.

Eligibility Criteria:

All the researchers, professionals and policy makers who have interest in data visualization and analytics are encouraged to participate. Kindly note that this workshop requires a moderate understanding of statistical concepts and tools.

The workshop is free of cost. However, due to limited availability of seats, only the shortlisted professionals will be confirmed for participation.
